@ForzaJulesBianchi: It's not as simple as Alonso leaving. There's been a big period of change and Arrivabene has really revitalised the place a lot. Last year seemed to be a real low.
Hamilton delays Raikkonen at the end of the pit lane as he executes a practice start, before the two world champions head out on track in tandem.
Rosberg returns to the pit lane for another practice start. Sounds like he was less happy with his first one.
Hamilton also trundles down the pit lane and it looks like he'll do the same as his team-mate.
@vasud: Yes. Ricciardo struggled with the driveability of his Renault in FP1 and the team is changing his engine this afternoon. Massa's car had a water leak and he won't be out in this session.
@Questionaire: Ha. It's fair enough if people have joined the session later and missed the original answer. Maybe I can give patience lessons to Fernando Alonso?
@MikeInDenmark: Good morning Mike. Sector one ends just before Turn 6, while the middle sector ends on the fast run down to Turn 9.
Looks like Hamilton and Rosberg are doing longer runs now.
"It's still doing it. Are you guys doing something wrong?" asks the ever-blunt Kimi Raikkonen.
I assume the Finn is still talking about the lack of front end.
@Domi: It's a combination of things. The tyre compounds are better this year but everyone said last year that the development curve would be steep with these engines - they'll keep getting quicker and quicker.
Sainz spins at the penultimate corner and carries on.
@Questionaire: They gave him a shot in 2010. 2012 was largely his own consistency in a sub-par car.
@Shane: We are expecting to find out this weekend.
24 minutes left of this session. Lots of longer runs taking place out there now.
While Sainz is spinning in one Toro Rosso, the team reports it is working on an issue with Verstappen's car. The Dutchman was impressive in FP1 but is currently 14th in this session.
@Deep: Hulkenberg has been complaining about the car in this session. He said the way it was behaving was as bad as anything he's ever driven. Watching on boards, the car looks twitchy.
Interestingly Rosberg has just been told again he needs to improve his fuel saving. That was one area Hamilton was better at last year and its the second time today the German has been told.
@Pj110: We try and publish every comments but we get so many it's hard to keep everyone satisfied.
