@Canuck: Sauber has a gearbox issue which it is working on. No word yet on any progress.
@Turboy: Men alive, a level-headed Ferrari fan! I think next week is when we'll see all the teams moving into that phase. Mercedes and Red Bull (Renault) both completed one yesterday though.
It's drizzling out there at the moment.
Sauber has half an hour left before lunch.
@AM: It's still way to early to say. One thing is certain though, Kimi is much happier with the whole package than he was last year.
Maldonado has just ventured out on intermediate tyres.
Looks like Sauber will finally notch up a lap before lunch.
@Prithvi: Mercedes will have paid or given Force India some concessions to run their reserve driver, which is gold dust for a team like Force India. Hulk is in the car tomorrow.
@silvergod: Button stopped earlier this morning but has since returned to the track, albeit for a handful of laps.
Dog eat dog world out there.
Wahey. We have a lap from Ericsson - ten minutes before lunch.
@grahamg: I'll update the times at lunch.
That might be a tall order. Honda's rivals have an extra year's experience but then nothing is a given in sport.
@Turboy: Now that would be telling.
Times will be updated momentarily.
So, a pretty standard morning of testing aside from some early drama with Vettel's spin and Button's early stoppage. I'll be back after lunch to continue our live coverage of testing.
The track is green again but its still drizzly and it's all pretty quiet out there. Every driver in the pits currently.
Teams reluctant to have a car in the wall by the end of the day.
@Bart: Mercedes is one of the few teams to offer a lunch to the media!
Kvyat goes out on track, knocking away the pesky tumble
weeds that were probably floating down the pit lane.
@alonsofernando: McLaren had a stoppage this morning and, though Button has been back out since, it may have altered the team's run plan.
I guess that tweet is relevant for a large number of teams out there. Still a little drizzly.
Though that said, Ericsson is out there on slicks - as is Kvyat - so the conditions are improving.
