@Gaurav2175: We are noting all your feedback down and appreciate your comments.
@pratsAMGPetronas: Harsh, he lasted two corners and then his engine blew up!
Ricciardo is out on track to set what will be his first timed lap of the session. We're approaching the half-hour mark.
Ricciardo's first lap puts him seventh - ahead of the Toro Rossos but three tenths down on Kvyat.
@mfbull: You'll be complaining about the lack of noise next ;)
Hamilton grumbling a lot about a hot seat. He's asked Mercedes to change to his other one as its too hot for him to continue.
@mfbull: I think Hamilton was right on Thursday when he said Ferrari's win was over-blown slightly. I think Mercedes is still the strongest car, and having Ferrari win only redoubled the team's efforts.
Ericsson continuing to look impressive in the Sauber and moves up to seventh. Anyone who followed our comms last year will know I wasn't his biggest cheerleader when he was at Caterham but he has made definite progress - aside from that spin in Malaysia. A spin, by the way, which Ferrari fans should be thanking Ericsson for as it triggered that all-important safety car.
Bottas is finally back out on track and the Williams man splits the Ferraris, but he's still nearly a full second down on Hamilton.
@mfbull: I agree the old site had a unique feel to it. Unfortunately, as with all these things, the decision to re-design the site was made quite a way above my head. I like the new site but regret we have yet to retain all of the old sites great features, but we are working to resolve this ASAP.
Hamilton is clambering back into his Mercedes, potentially with a new seat fitted.
@AdiosAyrton: Alonso's engine started spewing blue smoke just two corners into his session.
@mfbull: We are the Borg. You will be assimilated.
@Nate: Thanks Nate.
Massa has slotted in just behind his team-mate, there's currently only 0.05s between the Williams.
Hulkenberg says "tyre deg is quite high" and also reports "it" is not giving him anything special, so I assume Force India is trying a few things out with set-up.
@valvestech: So far, yes. Expect to see some quali simulations later on.
@Mark: Slim to none, I would wager.
@ALDG: F1 does not allow for live times to be given out - the only way to keep them in a session is to manually update and unfortunately we don't have resource to commit someone fully to this. Hence we have to make do with the times coming through at the end of the session.
@rockedin123: I don't think we'll see a big change like we did last year. I expect to see Kimi stay at Ferrari, especially now it's made a step, but the real interest is if Hamilton's contract talks continue to go unresolved. The chat in the paddock is the contract is all but signed, but while it isn't interest remains about potential changes.
