@ArunKumar: His Honda engine lasted a couple of corners before blowing up.
@Andreas: Nico Rosberg's pole lap in Brazil last year was quicker than Montoya's lap record.
Ericsson moves into sixth, 1.944s down on Hamilton. Still no sign of Ferrari yet.
And as I write that, Ferrari sends both cars out on track.
@AJ: Lotus has been quiet this weekend. Seems the team is happy to consolidate points early on after what was a woeful 2014. Let's see how they do in qualifying later.
@AdiosAyrton: Absolutely. Red Bull would find themselves up a certain creek without a paddle if Renault left them in the cold.
@Allaka: There's no confirmation from McLaren yet, but he pulled up with blue smoke coming from the engine.
Vettel crosses the line and, as expected, he's third but by some distance. He's six tenths down on Hamilton.
Raikkonen can only manage fourth, two tenths down on Vettel.
Looks like we can start predicting the first two rows.....
@mfbull: I think so. One of Renault's main issues is the lack of recognition it received from Red Bull for all those championships, and then how willing Red Bull was to throw it under the bus last year at the first sign of trouble. This one has been in the water for a while and I think Renault is seriously considering that option.
Seems those brake issues are continuing at Red Bull - Kvyat's car is on sticks and there are fans on all four corners of the car.
@MrQNet: We're approaching the final three minutes.
Perez crosses the line down in 17th. Hulkenberg is currently three tenths quicker in 11th but these aren't happy days for Force India.
What I will say on the Red Bull issue - when was the last time you heard McLaren threaten to quit the sport because it wasn't winning? It's a proud team but hasn't won since Brazil in 2012, but you don't hear the team throwing toys out of the pram. The difference between racers and marketers.
Kvyat is trundling around the circuit and the Russian is complaining about a lack of power.
The clock ticks over and the chequered flag is out - that's all she wrote. Hamilton completes a clean sweep of practice but can he continue that in qualifying? Looks like pole is Mercedes' to lose.
Kvyat is being told, once again, "minimal use of the brakes". Those damn Renault brakes!
I will leave you there - we'll be back again for qualifying in a couple of hours. Please join me again and thanks for following FP2 with us here.
