Vettel starts his first flying lap of the session. Alonso not too far behind on track.
@rockedin123: I don't know. I think him being a four-time world champion probably has something to do with it - I've never noticed a bias towards his interviews ahead of anyone else on there. They usually do good interviews with drivers across the field all season.
Vettel moves into second - only 0.140s down on Rosberg. Purple in the final sector, too.
Hamilton begins a flying lap, so let's see if he's retained that big advantage over the field he had in FP2.
Alonso's flying lap put him 10th - some 2.3s down on Rosberg.
Hamilton has a bit of a lock up coming into Turn 9, a very poor middle sector from the world champion. Is he still chasing set-up after lost time yesterday?
After going purple in the first sector, that sloppy middle sector costs Hamilton and he can only manage fourth - seven tenths off Rosberg.
Massa runs onto the tarmac at Turn 4.
@rockedin123: Hard tyres all round.
@mfbull: Seems very easy to lock the brakes on the run down to the corner.
@SurendranSelvaraj: Hard tyre for Alonso.
I tell you what, it's great to see Alonso back. He's absolutely throwing that MP4-30 around this circuit.
Button still not happy with the other McLaren, though, telling the team: "Initial pick-up on the throttle is not easy."
Hamilton still four tenths down on Rosberg's middle sector, suggesting he is still chasing the set-up. He's just bailed out of another flying lap and jumped into the pits.
@RohanMehta: Possibly, but it's hard to see where he'll end up. You can't help but feel Hulkenberg could miss his chance with a big team through no real fault of his own. Williams could be a potential landing spot in future. Personally I'd love to see him at a big team.
"Today the braking is all over the place," Hamilton complains as we see a replay of Kvyat having another big lock up in the middle sector. There's going to be a lot of shredded tyres this afternoon.
@rockedin123: I wouldn't say it suits him better. In Melbourne and over the race sims this weekend Raikkonen was quicker and more consistent over the long stints. He was just unlucky his race was compromised at Turn 1 in Melbourne. You are very keen to make assumptions from one race!
Pardon me, Ricciardo's headline time was set on medium tyres.
That was posted about five minutes ago.
I'm very excited for Kimi this season.
@mfbull: Bottas will land at Mercedes sooner rather than later.
We're into the final 20 minutes.
"A lot of vibrations on the tyres now," complains Verstappen.
Alonso currently seven tenths up on Button.
