@Prads: Yep. The high temperatures won't be helping matters either. The fastest time on mediums currently is slower than the hard tyre benchmark from FP1.
It's very early days to be talking about Verstappen replacing Kvyat.
Only Ericsson out there at the moment.
@Azhar: Raikkonen and Rosberg's time were set during the qualifying simulations, yes.
Kvyat leaps into third for Red Bull. He's just 0.183s off Raikkonen's benchmark. The temperatures really bunching the field up in this session.
Hamilton heads back out on track, decked out in white-striped medium tyre. Let's see how well the champion can do on his own qualifying simulations.
Hamilton has started a flying lap.
Boom. Hamilton jumps to the top of the timing screen by a huge margin - a 1:39.7. The reigning world champion, ladies and gentlemen.
@Efranov: Hamilton did four laps in FP1 and a handful in this session. To immediately go four tenths faster is mighty impressive. Especially as he then complains about bad downshifts "everywhere".
@jules: Last I saw, the car was up on the jacks in the Red Bull garage. No confirmation yet from Red Bull what the issue is though.
@Jairaj: That'd be the Finnish language for you, denoting pronunciation. Much like an umlaut in German - if you aren't German, you have no idea what they're for.
