@Forza: He used soft and super-soft in the morning. The super-soft was the tyre he used for his quick lap
@mfbull: They are a lot more expensive to spend
Hamilton finally heads back out again after a very long lunch.
I think Kimi has just completed his race simulation. After I mentioned how consistent his times were he dipped into the 1:29s and never got out again - it seems the tyres went off slightly at the end of the stint.
His final six laps:
@Vs: In the garage. Probably safe to assume there is a problem of some sort.
Hulkenberg is on a sizeable stint currently and lapping pretty consistently - his last three laps all within a tenth of one anothe in the high 1:31s. Not sure yet if its a race sim but its very impressive of Force India to be doing this during its first full day. 117 laps for the German today and counting.
@@shushy: Ericsson has started a race sim, Hulkenberg is up to an impressive 119 laps in the Force India. Hamilton back on track with 44 laps, Grosjean and Sainz also racking up the mileage.
One of our colleagues - Lawrence Butcher of RaceTech - has been snooping down at the McLaren garage and reports that the MP4-30 has been taken apart. He doubts they will be back out today.
No official word from McLaren since a tweet earlier saying Magnussen was ready for the afternoon - clearly something hasn't gone to plan.
@MclarenFan: As we just said, the McLaren is in pieces in the garage, so it won't go out anytime soon and has some sort of issue. Quite what, we will have to wait to hear from the team.
As I type, Sylvia from McLaren has been in touch to say it's an oil leak.
