Track temp is now down to 15C with the cloud cover and air temp is a chilly 10C
@Lardpipe: It's a bit early to draw any concrete conclusions. Everyone at STR is very complimentary of both and say it is not like working with a 17 year old and a 20 year old. Comparing team-mates at this stage is also a bit unfair due to different track conditions on each day and different run plans. However, Sainz has more relevant experience by being in GP3 and Formula Renault 3.5 rather than just F3 in Verstappen's case.
We can confirm that the McLaren will not be heading back out after that oil leak. One day left on track to put things straight ahead of Melbourne.
Although, it's worth pointing out that Red Bull managed just one lap on this test day last year and still went on to finish second in the constructors' championship and win three races.
Confirmation of every kind regarding McLaren for you.
Eric Boullier and Yasuhisa Arai will be talking in about 20 minutes. We'll send Nate down to get all the details from the McLaren-Honda men.
@TishirChhaparia: but his time has improved to a 1:24.181.
That time was on the mediums. More to come from Merc, hopefully he'll set a soft tyre time soon.
Hamilton now on the softs and improves to 1:23.648. Still some way off Rosberg's time yesterday, but the track conditions are not as good and there has been a lot of tinkering going on in the Mercedes garage over the last two days.
