@V.L.Efranov: It's true the engine itself hasn't gone bang, but then it hasn't been running at full power. The electronic and hydraulic issues have been related to the Honda power unit though.
@sidemen: Toro Rosso are also targeting that spot. And remember for a "midfield team" to finish fifth they have to beat one of Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes, McLaren and Williams
@V.L.Efranov: Honda makes the MGU-K and the seals and the hydraulic issue yesterday was engine related. In truth, it's not particularly helpful to blame Honda or McLaren as they are one team now. If it was Mercedes we wouldn't be blaming Brackley or Brixworth.
@vivek: Nate's been keeping a close eye on Ferrari and he thinks it was a series of long stints and not a full race simulation for Vettel today.
Red flag, just as we were about to get the chequered. That's the end of running today.
Maldonado has pulled up in the Lotus just at the entry to the pit lane. The car has pulled over to one side, but that's the end of the second day as the mechanics and track marshals go to recover it.
Thanks for joining us for another full day of testing action. The times will be updated and we'll have a full report online soon. Stay on the website for driver reaction, which will hopefully answer some of the questions we weren't able to during the session.
We'll be back for more testing action over the weekend, so make sure you join us then.
